Making REMINISCENCE: Victoria Hempstead

Victoria Hempstead was commissioned to make a major wall sculpture, REMINISCENCE for the RACV City Club Foyer. The first solo artist exhibition in the Gallery Lounge, curated by Ellen Wignell, this exhibition delves into Heampstead’s practice and behind-the-scenes insights into the making of this significant addition to the RACV Art Collection.
Heampstead is a Sydney-based artist, who works between sculpture, installation, and drawing. Responding to the Yarra River, she explored how our waterways weave and connect us. The exhibition showcases the multi-layered process behind the Foyer Commission, and never-seen-before artworks.
