Ellen Wignell (she / her) is an early career curator working in Melbourne/Naarm. She currently works for RACV as the first 'in-house' art curator, looking after the art collection across seven resorts, a calendar of exhibitions & programs and community cultural development projects.

At RACV she has overseen the creation of two new exhibition spaces, the Gallery Lounge at RACV City Club and ArtHouse at RACV Goldfields, lead a major new commission project for the RACV City Club foyer, culminating in the selection and installation of a 7m tall artwork titled 'Reminiscence' by Victoria Hempstead, and has worked on key partnerships with the Ballarat International Foto Biennale, Front Beach, Back Beach (Mornington Peninsula Regional Gallery) and Benalla Art Gallery.

Before taking on the role at RACV, Ellen worked at NETS Victoria as an Exhibitions Coordinator and as the Acting Director. She oversaw the touring of major exhibitions with the Ian Potter Museum of Art, University of Melbourne, Shepparton Art Museum and Arts Project Australia to name a few.

Ellen has a strong interest in curatorial research, creating art experiences in unexpected places, and community cultural development.
