Step behind the curtain, or in this case the image, and into the world of Erik Johansson. This is a special exhibition with Johansson, an international headlining artist of the Ballarat International Foto Biennale, curated by Ellen Wignell. Using original drawings and short documentaries, understand how Johansson’s physical photography is brought to life with digital effects to create his world-renowned images. Get creative and take part in an art activity inspired by his artworks in ArtHouse.

In this headlining event at the RACV Goldfields Resort, enjoy a presentation from featured BIFB artists Erik Johansson, Selena Ou and Aldona Kmieć, while feasting on food and wine from executive chefs during a long creative-fuelled lunch.
Masterclass: Light Painting

This masterclass is a must for nature lovers looking to experiment with their photography practice. Participants will learn ways of interpreting the landscape with Peter Solness, and explore new techniques in the RACV Goldfields Resort’s forest surroundings.
Masterclass: Food Photography 101

This immersive workshop will introduce you food photography, guided by Shellie Froidevaux and Ewen Bell. It will be a hands-on sessions to capture, style, process and print your own food photos. Gain real-world skills to apply to your photographic practice
Mask Making
19, 20 & 23 Sept
Make your own mask at RACV Goldfields Resort, responding to Within the Landscape. Get crafty and use the shapes and colours you love to create your mask. Have your picture taken at the end of the session before you take your disguise home. Ages 5+
